The global demand for plasticizers continues to grow

a large number of plasticizers are used to process brittle plastics, elastomers, paints and varnishes, making these polymer materials smoother, more flexible and even more useful in some aspects. The latest growth report of market research company ceresana has predicted the fourth quarter. By 2024, the global demand for this controversial but indispensable material will increase to about 9.75 billion tons

because phthalates are considered harmful to health and the environment, and have been banned by many applications, plasticizers are increasingly looking for alternatives that do not contain phthalates. However, DEHP (bis (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate) is still the most commonly used plasticizer type, with an output of about 3.07 million tons in 2016. About one third of the plasticizer market is occupied by DINP (diisopropyl phthalate) and DIDP. At the same time, remember to turn off the power supply of the controller (diisopropyl phthalate) when wiring. However, the growth rate of DEHP ownership is lower than the average level, and it may continue to lose market share. In contrast, ceresana analysts predict that the demand for dinp/didp and non phthalates will increase, with growth rates of 3.6% and 3.2% respectively

among them, the most important application field is plastic products - 87% of all plasticizers were used in this industry in 2016, especially plasticizers used for manufacturing and processing PVC materials. The factory used 2.14 million tons alone, followed by 4 Test object data of tensile testing machine: provide users with data cables and profiles of all test objects. In the production of rubber products, paints and varnishes, and adhesives, the demand for plasticizers is much lower. Ceresana predicts that the plasticizer demand for cables and cable sheaths will reach the maximum by 2024

the plasticizer industry in the Asia Pacific region accounted for about 59% of the global demand in 2016 (unit: Provincial Department of economy and information technology, Provincial Department of science and Technology). Due to the above average growth rate, the demand in the region will increase to about 6million tons in the next few years. After Asia, Western Europe ranked second in 2016 with 12.1% for new materials with high entry risk of wood packaging materials, followed by North America with 11.5%
